Site Rules
« on: August 19, 2009, 09:29:43 am »
Before you read, if you have any questions or do not understand any of the following rule(s), don't hesitate to make a topic here. We will explain the rule(s) further so you have a better understanding.

BAD WORDS
Although we have a "bad word" filter in place, this does not guarantee that profanities will be censored. You are not allowed to post any abusive "bad word". Any user found trying to avoid this system or posting a "bad word" will have an infraction (not limited to 1 infraction). You are not allowed to alter the word accordingly to sound like a bad word so that it does not have the correct spelling or look.

FLAMMING & SPAMMING
If you attempt to annoy other users by making certain posts, topics or sending private messages which you know will anger them, then you will be given an infraction. If you are the user on the end side of the abuse, you should report the post, topic or whatever it is. You may only make one post per 60 seconds. We have also put another step in to fight forum spammers. Your post must be longer than 10 letters or it will be rejected and not posted. Users which spam, will be given an infraction for each post / topic they make.

DOUBLE-POSTING
Please DO NOT double post as this is considered spam, and can make the forum look untidy.

RESPECT STAFF
Staff are here to make sure this forum is kept in ship shape. Their word is final. You should respect staff decisions, just as we will respect yours. Please do not post on their profile page for support etc. Please create a topic for support. Finally, do not send staff a private message for support unless asked to by that staff member(s). If you do, please include a link in your private message showing that you were asked to private message that member. If you would to complain about a staff member, please send a private message to an Administrator.

DISCUSSION OF BANNED MEMBERS
You are not allowed to make a topic discussing a banned member. Whether it be your friend or stranger, you may not ask why they have been banned. You may not try to appeal a ban for them by making a topic, posting or sending a private message to moderators or administrators.

INDECENT IMAGES OR LINKS
Nudity and / or sexual content which link to or contain such material aren't allowed. If a user is found to have posted or uploaded such material... banned. You may not have a signature or avatar with such material.

ENCOURAGING
Do not encourage others to break any of the rules which are listed here. Both parties will receive the same treatment.

EXPLOITATION OF BUGS
If you abuse the software exploits then serious consequences will follow. However, if you do find an exploit then we would love to hear from you so we can patch it up as soon as possible! This goes for any of our websites.

ENGLISH
You may only post in English. Posts in a different language may be deleted. This is an English based site so we must all speak in English if not asked by a certain staff member. This is because the staff who work on the website can only speak English.

SPEECH
You must post in plain readable English and spell to the upmost of your ability.

GRAMMAR + PUNCTUATION
Please DO NOT make an entire thread in capital/bold/big letters, and take care in using good grammar. It makes the forum look untidy.

COMPETITORS
We prefer users not to link to competing sites. Such links can be removed and the user may be infracted if it is obvious that the link is only for advertising methods. However, any link can be questionable. To be on the safe side do not link to competing sites.

ADVERTISING
You may link to your own site in your profile or signature. As long as the link does not violate any of the terms above, then we have no reason not to allow outside links. Other than links to your OWN site, please do not post other advertising links.

BUMPING
You may bump up your own threads only if they are over two weeks old, and only if the started thread is important. However, you may not bump up another topic which is over 2 weeks old if you have nothing intelligent to add. Such as “Nice post..” or “wow, we can do that?” Such posts are considered spam and unnecessary.

Infractions
They are not the end of the world! An infraction is a warning, simply read it, and take notice. There is no need to thread or worry about it. You are allowed 10 infractions points in total. Points do expire!

Reporting Posts
If you find a topic or post which you find violates any of the rules, you may click the warning button next to the post. Once this is clicked, the Moderators/Administrators are alerted of this post; which can be dealt with swiftly. If you misuse this function, then you get a lovely infraction! (Per reported post). Staff reward certain users who use this function to help out.

We reserve the right to change these rules at any time. We may also be evil and ban any user at any given moment for violating any of these rules. We may ban any person at any time for what ever reason.
